Seniors

Mr. Gordon is collecting Baby and Senior pictures for the Graduation Slide show. Turn in no more than one of each. December 2, 2016 is the due date for all pictures to be turned in. We will also be collecting video highlights from the various  extra-curricular events throughout the year. Due date for the video highlights will be April 21, 2017 but please turn them into Mr. Gordon immediately after the events if possible. Pictures and video clips can be sent by email to dgordon@kpbsd.k12.ak.us.  Pictures and video clips turned in after the above dates will not be included in the Graduation Senior Video/slide show.

There are two ways to order a transcript.  Each way serves a different purpose.

If you need a transcript sent to a college or NCAA or a similar agency, then you will need to log on to: www.parchment.com   to order transcripts to be sent.  The request is then forwarded to SoHi.  After processing,   it then goes through cyberspace… rather than the US mail… to get to its destination, which is much faster!  ALL transcripts that are headed for NCAA, colleges, etc. have to be processed this way!

FINAL TRANSCRIPTS!    A final transcript is one that shows your second semester grades…  If you order your transcript when we are IN second semester,,, you will need to make sure you choose “next grading period” when you go on to Parchment…  that way your transcript request will wait until the grades are in at the end of the year before it is sent.

~~~
If you need a transcript for scholarships, scholarship folders, insurance, etc., then, you will need to see Mrs. Treider in the Counseling Office.
Parents
The Soldotna High School PTSA will hold its first meeting of the school year on Thursday, September 15th at 5:30pm in the SoHi Staff Lounge.  Please join us to learn more about how the SoHi PTSA contributes to After Prom, After Grad, scholarships, and many other areas that support our students, staff, and community.  New members are always welcome – membership forms will be available at the meeting and annual dues are $10 per person.  Stay up to date on important events at our school, issues related to education at the local, state and national level and connect with other SoHi parents through PTSA!  Please contact Sheilah-Margaret Pothast at agr8fulmom@hotmail.com (put SoHi PTSA in the subject line) for more information.  We look forward to seeing you there!
The Kenai Peninsula School Activities Association (KPSAA) is seeking a Parent Representative to serve the remainder of the current term ending with the current school year.  Parent Representatives are an important voice on the KPSAA Board, and will seek information from other KPBSD parents to report back to the KPSAA Board at our quarterly meetings.  For more information, please contact Tiffany Eck no later than September 9, 2016 via email teck@kpbsd.k12.ak.us or by phone 907-714-8884.  Our first meeting is scheduled for September 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Soldotna Prep school.
The KPBSD Wellness Committee is seeking nominations for a Parent Representative.  The Wellness Committee is responsible for reviewing Board Policy 5141.6 Student Nutrition and Physical Activity for districtwide compliance and seeks input from our schools, parents and community members.  The committee meets 2-3 times per year, typically in the Central Peninsula area.  For more information, please contact Tiffany Eck no later than September 15, 2016 via email teck@kpbsd.k12.ak.us or by phone 907-714-8884.  Our first Wellness Committee meeting will be held on October 4, 2016 at the District Office building from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
